REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 12, 1998
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 7:00 PM by Supervisor, Jim Boggio
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
MEMBERS PRESENT: Jim Boggio, John Clarkson, Gerald Johnson, Donald Keith, Nancy Sherk
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
MINUTES: Motion to approve, Keith, supported by Johnson, vote unanimous. One change was made:
Under Committee Reports, VFD, change word ‘unhappy’ to ‘concerned’.
TREASURER’S REPORT: December and January reports were reviewed and accepted.
APPROVAL OF BILLS: Reviewed; motion to approve, Keith, supported by Johnson, vote unanimous.
One change was made: The bill for the reflector signs should come out of the
General Fund rather than the VFD Fund. And Clarkson to check with
insurance company about covering the cost of the water pumphouse block
heater.

Volunteer Fire Department - Mike Radigan (Absent)
Water & Well-head Protection Committee - John Wakeman
- Committee is working on setting up a meeting date to draft an ordinance
Cemetery Committee - John Pippenger (Absent)
- Boggio reported that the township is currently purchasing a 50’ x 500’ piece of property along side of
the cemetery’s north boundary
Solid Waste Committee - Bruce Olsen
- Boggio would like the board to consider purchasing a 2nd dumpster after the current bill is paid. No
further action was taken.
Beach Committee - Vacant
Recreation Committee - Barb Sickler (Absent)
OLD BUSINESS
‘old business’ since the township now has requested, at a recent county board meeting, to be
included with the county’s recreation plan.
Progress of VFD special assessment for purchase of new pump tank firetruck: Clarkson has received (2) firetruck quotes, which have a 45-day expiration date from date of quote.
the county and $2,000.00 from the township. Paperwork for this transaction, as well as the other
purchases mentioned above, are at the title company.
