MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 7:00 PM by Supervisor, Jim Boggio

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

MEMBERS PRESENT: Jim Boggio, John Clarkson, Donald Keith, Peter Van

Pelt, Gerald Johnson

MEMBERS ABSENT: None

MINUTES: June 9, 1997 reviewed. Two corrections to be made; 1) under 'New Business,

Green Thumb program, add, "vote unanimous" and 2) under 'Antique Fire Truck'

correct the spelling of Clarence Monette. Motion to accept corrected minutes,

Van Pelt, supported by Johnson, vote unanimous.

TREASURER'S REPORT: Reviewed and accepted

APPROVAL OF BILLS: Reviewed July expenditures; motion to accept, Van Pelt, supported

by Keith, vote unanimous

SUPERVISOR'S REMARKS AND CORRESPONDENCE:

it was explained that the fund could be used on additional police protection. If the money

were left in that account, the state could tax us on the dormant money.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Volunteer Fire Department - Mike Radigan (Nothing to report)

(Discussion of fire truck purchase will be later in the meeting)

Water & Well-head Protection Committee - John Wakeman (Absent)

Cemetery Committee - John Pippenger (Absent)

NEW BUSINESS

the fire truck at their own expense. A motion was made to accept their offer of restoration,

Keith motioned, supported by Clarkson, vote unanimous. After restoration, the vehicle will

be on display at the Calumet Fireman's Museum as previously motioned at the June

township meeting.
