Special Meeting called by a majority of the Township Board Members

Date: Saturday, August 18, 2001

Time: 2:00 p.m.

Place: Eagle Harbor Township Hall, Eagle Harbor, MI

Purpose: To appoint and swear in a new Supervisor to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of James Boggio at the Regular Board Meeting on Monday, August 13, 2001.

Meeting called to order by Clerk Jeane Olson.

Board Members present: Dick Lantz, Ann Johnson and Jeane Olson.

Board Members absent: Tom Ellis

Also present was Doug Sherk , Bruce Olson, Mary Ann Hohner and Don Keith.

Dick Lantz was selected as Chairperson for this meeting.

Chairman Lantz explained that the term of office for this appointment would be until the November election in 2002. Then the appointee would have to successfully run for the office of Supervisor to complete the original term of office.

MM/S Johnson/Olson to appoint Douglas Sherk as the new Supervisor.

Ayes-3, Nays-0 Motion Carried.

Douglas Sherk accepted the appointment.

Clerk Olson gave Douglas Sherk the Oath of Office.

Adjournment: MM/S Lantz/Johnson to adjourn. Ayes-3 Nays-0
